Heart Tug

I love Nicholas Sparks. His books are full of life, but not always happy endings. And that's what I love about them. They tell life how it is, not how we want it to be. Life isn't full of fairytales and happy endings. It's full of harsh truths, hurts, and broken hearts.

That's why whenenver I see the commercial for Dear John my heart hurts. It appears to be an epic love story, full of passion and happiness, but that's not how it ends. And I know that.

Don't get me wrong, it is an epic love story. But if you look at most epic love stories they don't have happy endings. Romeo and Juliet, for example. They die, and are seperated forever.

That kind of story tugs at my heart, makes it burn. I want a love that rocks my world. But not one that crushed my spirit. I want to be a part of an epic love story.

I love Nicholas Sparks. His writing brings passion to my life. And sometimes I need that passion, it brings color. And reminds me of what could be.

It makes my heart tug.
